What is Connect and what are we doing?

As John Wesley's famous quote explains:

"Do all the good you can
By all the means you can
In all the ways you can
In all the places you can
To all the people you can
As long as ever you can."

That is what we're trying to do for our GCISD students. With the needs of students dramatically rising and the school district and campus personnel having greater academic pressures and decreasing financial resources and reserves, we decided to "connect" the needs within our schools with our communities' generous resources.  So what are we looking for?  Resources to meet the needs of our students so the students can be free of obstacles to learning.  If you are a business, organization, church, synagogue, corporation, group or individual and you would like to help, please contact us.  Whether you want to help once or on an ongoing basis, our students will greatly benefit.  GCISD needs the communities' help to "Build Excellent Schools Together" so students can be their BEST.  Students who are their BEST, graduate into community members who are the BEST!
GCISD has students ("Littles") waiting right now!  Please consider volunteering to make a difference in a student's life.  Mentoring takes less than 1 hour each week, on campus during the school day, and involves talking, playing a game, reading a book together, playing an educational App on a tablet or smart phone, doing homework or a project, painting fingernails with girls--anything your Little wants to do!  GCISD's Superintendent and top administrators are all mentors so if they have time, YOU have time!  Watch our promo video and click on the "Make a Difference Be a Mentor" icon above to upload the application.  Please make sure you have completed the online background check from GCISD.  You can also get more information on GCISD's website.
